nmapfe problem

Help,

I just upgraded nmapfe on my linux box and I keep getting the following error when I try to run it:

Service ‘gnome\Utilities\nmapfe.desktop’ is malformatted.

I have no idea what this means. Can anyone shead some light on this please? How can I fix or go back to the version that came with Red Hat 7.2?

Also; anyone know of a good location for instructions on installing linux software?
