No Green Light on Del Laptop Powercord

The green light on my Del Laptop?s powercord comes on when I plug it into the wall however when I plug the powercord into my laptop the green light goes out and the laptop receives no power. It worked fine until yesterday and then this problem just started kind of randomly. Does Anyone know what?s going on or have any thoughts?

I also want to add that the power supply works fine on my wife’s Dell laptop, When I try her power suply on mine.. same thing. green light goes on when I plug it into the wall until I plug the power supply into the laptop then it goes out….
