No internet access but intranet ok

User has a XP Pro machine (on a domain) that can access intranet sites but not most internet sites (I can access .org websites only).
Verified all DHCP settings, DNS and WINS settings. Verified all Internet Option settings. Problem began after a colleague uninstalled IE 7.0
