No Sound availablel in XP

by krke . Updated 23 years, 4 months ago

I have a clean install of XP Pro. My sound card is Creative’s Sound Blaster Live Platinum. Last week, upon returning from a trip, I discovered I could not get any audio from my speakers when I attempted to play a CD or select a piece from my musiclibrary. MusicMatch Jukebox Plus and Creative’s SB Live Play center, and Win Media will not produce music. I receive an error that another app is using the card, or there is no card installed. I have yanked the drivers and reinstalled them to no avail. Additionally, I found the following error codes: This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. Task manager indicates nothing is running in the background. Help/
