Novell Clients messaging utility

Does anyone know of a way to shut off Novell’s messaging utility that is part of the client? Is this a server service that can be disabled? We have hidden the Red N in the toolbar and taken out the utility from the client level. It seems students have figured out how to access the messaging via network neighborhood. I’m hoping we can kill the messaging at the server and not have to visit 3000 machines! HA
