I work in a large eDirectory/Active directory hybrid environment and we’ve been gradually migrating users from eD into AD. The end result is that they work in both at the same time. The process is usually simple. I create their AD account, remove them from a specific group that forces them to log into their eD account and a local workstation account, and then synchronize their passwords for single sign-on.
Two users, however, on separate workstations can’t log into their AD accounts unless they log in workstation only. For some reason, novell seems to be forcing them into their local accounts. When I have them log in to Novell, a second dialog box should come up asking for an AD password (the temporary on I set). But instead it ignores the fact that I have it set to AD in the windows tab.
I’ve tried uninstalling the novell client and ZEN Desktop Management and reinstalling them but it still occurs. My login works fine so I’m pretty sure it’s specific to these users.
Any ideas?
