i have two lans at different locations.
lan”A” and lan”B”.
1> lan”A” setup is as follows
10 nodes and one nt 4.0 server with a modem . nodes are authenticated by the nt 4.0 server they are in a domain.
nodes os include win95 and win98.
2>lan”b” setup is as follows
13 nodes and one 3com ras server .
nodes are in workgroup same as that in lan”A” but not in domain.
now the scenario is that my nt 4.0 server on lan”A” dial to the 3com ras server on lan”B” which assigns a dynamic ip to the dial up adapter on nt 4.0 server on lan”A” i have enabled ip forwarding from ether. adapter to dial up adapter on the nt 4.0 server in lan”A” from where i can ping the 3 com ras server on lan”B” . i tried entering the ip add. on the ether. adapter as well as on the dial up adapter on the nt4.0 server as a gateway on the clients in lan”A” but niether can i ping the 3com ras server or the machines or cant browse any machine on lan”B”.
how can i solve this problem what else i need to do.
please help.
