I’ve been using the backup utillity on our W2K server for a while and found it adequate at best. I can’t seem to get around this issue: When I arrived the server was running the backup under the administrator account and had logs and such associated with that account. I’ve since changed it to use an administrative level account and not the actual admin account. Now I can’t see older logs or media in the restore tab. In the removable storage manager I can see the tape is in and some tools are available but I can’t get it to appear in backup’s restore tab unless I log on as admin. I can work around this but I don’t want to trust archive tapes being usable down the road or what may happen during a complete restore where no tapes would be listed. Anyone? Anyone?
