October 1 Deadline, Microsoft

I have been trying to discover the loopholes to avoid this deadline. Between Upgrade Advantage & Software Advantage I think this is a lot of bunk!. Also what is it with the February 28, 2002 deadline? Some say you OS stops working if you havn’t purchased the new licensing.
