Office 2007 “Splash Screen” issue

I have one user in my network who while working away on multiple Office 2007 documents will momentarily have an Office 2007 popup splash screen that will take the focus from whatever document he’s working on and then disappear. This causes him to have to retype the work he was doing, since he’s just plugging away without neccesarily looking at the screen. I was able to see the “flash screen” occur but am unable to replicate anywhere else in order to diagnose and stop from happening on his computer. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on this matter?
