OK I have a interesting question here relating to I tunes

by oh smeg . Updated 17 years, 1 month ago

A friend brought over a Dell Vostro 1710 and the stated issue what the I Tunes will not work. She had tried repairing I Tunes and then deleting it scanning the Registry and reloading I Tunes but it had the same effect a curt message saying that the I Tunes Folder in My Music was not available/Missing.

I’ve done the normal things but now I’m stuck. I have deleted every Apple piece of software scanned the Registry with CCleaner rebooted and then reinstalled I Tunes several times now and I’m still getting the same results.

I have changed a Second User Account to a Limited Account on this computer deleted any reference to any Apple Product in both User Accounts scanned and cleaned the Registry and then reinstalled I Tunes and this time I was prompted to Accept the License Agreement when I Tunes started to open. then it reverted to the same Window that said that I Tunes was not available or there in My Music or any other Location on the HDD.

There is only 1 Partition other then the Recovery Partition on this NB and where I’m not sure is a Fax Program called PanFax which is used in conjunction with Skype but nothing else looks suspicious and this NB has been working correctly for at least several Months when it was first put into service in November 2008.

Other than I tunes no working or installing the I Tunes Folder when it is installed after a clean install everything else is working.

I’M stuck anyone have any Ideas?
