Open ports on my Win 2000 professional

Pls help.

How can I determine the ports that are open on my Windows 2k Professional.

What steps do I follow to ensure that these ports are closed properly?

Can I still be able to FTP into a remote server with the system after closing all the open ports?

I need ur help as soon as possible.
