Downloaded digital pictures from digital camera on to HDD.
I am able to get the pix off the Media Cards either via the camera directly or by using the accompanying USB Media Card Reader.
Getting the pictures from the camera/media to the computer is NOT the issues.
The Problem:
The end users are unable to open the images!
Logged on as Administrator, I am able to open the images when double-clicking. Windows associates JPEG, JPG & JPE files with MS Photo Editor on these particular computers.
When end user logs on, get the following error message:
No File Format information can be found in the Registry… Press OK
Then… Unknown file format.
I attempt to open the same file using MS Paint, I get the following message:
Paint cannot read this file. This is not a valdi bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported.
I have checked, via Windows Explorer, the File Types registered in the Registry on the computer in question. It states:
… JPEG’s, JPG’s and JPE’s Open With MS Photo Editor!
