I helped a friend upgrade to Office 2000 pro so that the computer would “look like the ones at school” where she is a professor. When Outlook went to configure, it said it was keeping the configuration settings from Outlook 97, but when we opened itto check her email, there is no longer any account info or personal folders. I have tried importing, but it didn’t find anything to import. I am not very familiar with Outlook 2000, so I’m not sure what to try next. If I uninstall Outlook will it revert to the 97 version with its settings? Or will that just remove it completely? I need to figure out how to get her email back, and it is not a regular internet account but a dial-up into the college’s network, so i don’t even know how to set up a new account. and she had email saved in her personal folders from students she needed to reply to, and those are all gone.
