Outlook 2000 Calendar Error

by smollock . Updated 18 years, 5 months ago

Hello,

I work as an IT Support Specialist for the City of Ventura in Ventura, CA. I have been having an issue with a user’s Outlook Calendar. Seems to be intermittent, but very annoying for him. When he receives a meeting request in Outlook, he will open the email. It looks very normal, but instead of it reading “Respond” in the yellow banner it reads “This meeting is not in the Calendar. It may have been moved or deleted.”.

I have been searching the internet for a resolution for this for way longer than anticipated. I have tried numerous switches, several other supposed resolutions I have turned up, but this issue still persists. It seems that when this user accepts the request it gets listed in his calendar. the problem he is having is that he isn’t sure if this is a valid request or one that the sender has deleted/rescheduled without recalling the original. I have sent him several requests also, and the error message appears in the yellow banner in all of them.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue. I don’t want to spend a lifetime on this, but would like to help this user.

thanks for any help you can offer.

Saul
