Outlook 2003 can’t open this item

Hi,
Im having a problem with outlook 2003 (exchange account). Random mails cannot be opened i receive a “can’t open this item” error with nothing else in the error message. I have tried service packing office 2003, reinstalling and running the detect and repair utility however the problem still remains. Some mails open fine and others i get the message. Any help would be great
