Outlook 2003 multiplying archives

1. Fresh new laptop prepared by D**l Xp SP3
2. Office 2003 standard install
3. Every mail profile creates an archive
4. when clicked on, system queries where to place file.
5. close Outlook
6. relaunch now there are four archives.
7. relaunch and now there are eight.
8. Loaded office pro, same thing.
9. deleted profiles, no difference
*UPDATE
I deleted the outcmd.bat files after doing
Microsoft update on Office & O.S.
re-created profiles… same results
