Outlook 2003 starts, then immediately ends

When I start Outlook, it opens my default inbox, I can see yesterday’s mail, I see the plug-in’s loading at the top, and then Outlook just disappears.

Something happened last night, I think it was lightening… My external USB HDD was non-responsive (it had to be powered-off and back on), and all of my Outlook PSTs were bent (all needed the SCANPST utility to fix). But still, the same symptom.

I tried REPAIR from the CD. Same thing.
I tried UNINSTALL and reINSTALL from the CD. Same thing.

Are the plugin’s stored in a file somewhere that I can delete?

EDIT: I scanned the registry for addins and found this: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins]
It had 3 addins under it, so I deleted them, no change. Rebooted, same thing.
