Outlook 2003 TO column disappears from Sent Items folder

We have several folks with this problem

In the sent items – the TO column disappears. We put the TO field back via the field chooser -close and re-open outlook – and sometimes when we go back in to the sent items folder the TO field is there – other times it is not.
