Outlook Disables Addins when using VPN but Addins work fine in the Office

by mdk-dialectic . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

PC Config: IMB Laptop T61, 2gig mem, 80gig hd, Win XP SP2 OS, Office 2003 SP2. Users OST is around 2.5 gigs

Here is the issue my customer is having. When She is in the office and connected to the Network. Outlook works fine with the addins we have with our Image.
When she goes home and connects to her wireless network at home (believe to be provided by comcast). She will Launch and access the firm network through VPN.
Once on the Network she will launch Outlook. Outlook takes about 5 to 10 seconds to open and display her inbox. She will then start reading email and reply. When she goes to send the message, create a new one, or try to insert a file. Outlook will just sit there with the Hourglass running. When ending the task and then relaunching and selecting yes to disable and add in. the customer goes to the disabled items and sees 4 other addins disabled as well.
She will enable all addins and restart Outlook. but the same thing happens again.

Any help on this resolution will be greatly appreciated.

Items we have done to resolve:
1) recreate outlook profile
2) recreate OST
3) scan and check pc for Virus
4) reimaged pc (PC works for a few days before starting again)
5) Run detect and repair.
6) Image Out of Box Laptop.
7) Edited Registry under HKETY\LOCALMACHINE\SYS\CurrentContrlSer\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces Added DWORD MTU 1418

Any ideas on resolving this woul be Great!

Thanks
