Outlook reply error: “Word unavailable”

by yangado74 . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

Hi,

When trying to reply to certain messages (used to be only hotmail), outlook gives the following message:
“Microsoft Word is set to be your e-mail editor. However, Word is unavailable, not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook e-mail editor will be used instead.”.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Re-registering the library does not fix this problem. Furthermore, as stated above it usually only regarded hotmail: now we are also encountering this with some of our clients who have different ISP.
Another thing I noticed: when you copy paste the email in a word document, you will see a LOT of text on top (seems like header information) and Word tells you it cannot perform spelling check on this).

Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks for any help in advance!!!
