Outlook Web Access (OWA)

So we have a remote user using Vista accessing mail. He can read, reply, send, etc. The problem he’s having is a wierd little quirk. The email status is always marked as read, even when its a brand new email and he hasn’t in fact read the mail.

he’s using ie7 (i believe, i didn’t set up his machine).

I told him to try firefox see if that helped, but anybody else encountered this? ideas?
