Outlook98: Changing modes via cmd line

by ronan.obrien . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

How do I change the installation mode of Outlook 98 from No email to Internet Mail Only or Corporate/Workgroup via the command line?
I need to be able to automate the installation of these modes based on a user’s selection. I use the ODK to build an installation of Outlook which uses the NO email mode.

We have different email servers installed in different regions. It’s a mixed environment and some servers are Exchange based and some are unix based. A user’s machine has Outlook 98 with Noemail mode as default on their PC’s. When they log on they are presented with a choice asking them what region they are in. Based on this choice, I know whether IMO or CW needs to be installed…

If I can’t do this via the command mode.. I guessI could use a tool like AutoIT to simulate someone installing it via the web page.. but it’s messy!

Hope you can help,

Ronan
