An outside vendor of products we sell wants to install software on in house workstations to access their product catalog online.
My respsonse to them was, “We have a lot of workstations being replaced, moved, or recycled. If there is any software that needs to be installed on any workstation, I need the ability to install it. ”
The vendor says that the software is easily installed and wants me to schedule a time to meet with them at each location so they can install the software.
If this is a simple process, wouldn?t it be more efficient for me to simply install the software as I am installing a new workstation?
I think I have made a very simple and reasonable request. I need the ability to install it house.
Is my request is normal and customary for any network manager?
