overseeing virtual team

This is my first assignment providing project management to a virtual team. Some team members are located in other countries. Currently, they are teleconferenced in on meetings, and they receive status reports, access to team documents, and ongoing check-in telephone calls. The issue is that some of those team members are requesting on-site PM attention. Any idea on how to justify frequent travel to support these members. Thanks.
