OWA fails to see Default Web Page

I have Exchange 5.5 SP3 on NT4.0 SP6 and am trying to configure the Outlook Web Access. The MS IIS & OWA were not setup during initial installation. I have recently added these options. When I attempt to login to the exchanges server either usingthe hostname/exchange or IP address/exchange, I get page cannot be displayed errors. I also am getting the same error if I attempt to go to the localhost. I assume that something is not configured properly and have looked but not sure what is left. Please help.
