password removal

hi;

I have a hp pavilion zd8000 laptop i got from a pawn shop and it was working just fine til it crashed. when i tried to reinstalled the os it would not allow me to boot from the cd. Then i tried to go into the bios to change the boot order but there was a password on the bios. What can i do to remove the password so i can change the boot order to cd? or what can i do to simply boot from the cd so i can reinstalled my operating system?
