Paste data from tables into mail body using access

I have a table which is my base for e-mail reporting. There are certain fields which needs to get copied on the body of the e-mail which will get generated from Access. Is it possible?
will mail merge option help in this regasrd? if yes, can someone help me on how to use a mail merge option with an example. I am not well versed with Mail merge function.
