PC-Anywhere and Virus propogation

Does anyone know if it is possible to receive a Virus, being a Trojan or a Worm, through PC-Anywhere from Symantec? I had the question thrown at me. The only way I could think this would occur is if you pulled an infected file across from an infected PC, but not by just being attached to the PC. Am I correct in my thinking? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The PC’s that we are concerned with do have shares, are NT Workstations, and we usually Dial in or have a VPN Connection.
