pcAnywhere 11 through dial-up won’t run a program remotely

My neighbor has always had pcAnywhere on her work computer running host mode and been able to connect from her home and her accountant’s office remotely and run a program. I recently upgraded her home to Vista (so now she can’t use pcAnywhere 11 at home) and installed a new copy of pcAnywhere on her recored XP machine at the office. Her accountant can connect remotely to the work computer, but the program will not run. Did I miss a setting somewhere? They are using dial-up (ugh), but that’s what she’s comfortable with.
