Pirate-Proof Programming–Help!!

Using Visual Basic 6.0, I have created an
application to aid gear designers and manufacturers in their work. However, I need help deploying this product to customers so they may not make illegal copies.
I would like to assign a activation code to every new customer and make it impossible to copy illegally!
