Please help we don’t want to reimage 50 computers.

I have an issue with a ghost image we created a year or so ago. Apparently, a manager for a certain department wanted us to disable the ability to play cds on their new computers. Well, now the current manager does not mind if their employees listen to cd while they work. The issue I have is we (Desktop Support) can not remember how we disabled this feature.

Any suggestions on different ways to disable playing cds on cd-rom or different things to check. I have looked in the local group policy, registry, properties under the cd-rom drive. We really do not want to reimage 50 computers.
