This is a strange situation.
Case: Whenever you send a print job from a DOS base program it doesn’t print. It would only start printing if you log-off from the Windows.
Parameters: Windows NT workstation with SP 6a, printer is connected to the computer using parallel port using LPT1, IBM proprinter, Program DOS based and it works fine with other wokstations printer,capturing the port.
Windows based program prints no problem. No error message when you print DOS Based program. You won’t see print job in the Print que.
Action taken: Applied service packs, installed and re-installed printer for nth time, captured port. Removed the drivers on the registry. Changed printer cable,and in under permission and rights put “everyone” on “fullcontrol”, tried spooling the job, print directly to the printer but no luck… any items that I missed out?
