Printing HPGL from Unix to W2K

I have problem printing HPGL-files to a HP1050C printer from Unix ( eg. Solaris 5.8).The unixjob are spooled to a W2K server and the output to the printer is pure HPGL-code.I’ve tried different settings in the printerdriver (eg. send the job directly to the printer)which didn’t helped.
Any suggestion ?
