Printing Issue

I have a number of HP Laserjet 4200 on our network. today there has been numerous problems ie. printing to tray 1, printing extra blank page with document. Also, the Printing Properties page is not being displayed nor is the Printing Defaults error msg: (C:\windows\Explorer.exe Funtion address 0x234a5aa caused a protection fault. Property pages may not be displayed.) also if I try to update drivers on these printers it hangs.
