Printing to a PS110 using SAM

Using the SAM control panel, I have managed to add a remote printer which hangs off a Netgear PS110 print server. I have assigned an IP address to the print server and added a line to the /etc/hosts file using SAM. I have created the printer – butit does not seem to work correctly (blank pages printing etc..). Should I have done this a different way (I don’t want to use SAMBA!)? It is a HP LaserJet 5 – no JetDirect solutions please!! Thank you – a learning UNIX administrator.
