Problem Gremlins

Every time IE is used Win XP flags a download message that says SHDOCVW.dll is downloading from C\Win\system32 Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Also does anyone have a kill for something called IHATEPOPS and annoying new adware that is not killed by the anti popup program
