problem with my laptop

Please help! i have a laptop Fujitsu Siemens Amilo,recently i had a problem which i try to solve it with the recovery that came with it .along the line as i didn’t well understood how to do it,evrything got wiped out.
i formal made a complete backup with an external harddrive.
Now every thing is out,i run the recovery cd-rom it brought a different language reather englich that was priviously inside.
The laptop is working fine with the german language that is inside,but that is not what i need,what can i do? the recovery is a multilanguage,but only german language runs at the startup.pls help me out.
