Problem with uninstall Mozilla Firefox

I want to uninstall Mozilla Firefox from my Win XP system. When I click on “Remove” in the Mozilla Firefox entry in Control Panel nothing happens. When I click on C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe nothing happens. It looks like something has hijacked my uninstall wizard. Can any one help?
