I have a Sony VAIO laptop that I am having trouble with. The laptop stopped working and was told I had to wipe it clean and re-install the operating system.
I am not so good with computers. I used a Windows XP boot cd that will “freeze” during the drive formatting section and when it finally does make it past that, it will not finish copying the files. I have tried other OS like Linux, but that wouldn’t work either, saying there was something wron with partition #5.
I have tried creating boot cds and using them on the laptop, but it will not read them, it actually only did once and has not read it again no matter how many times I try it. I am out of ideas on this and don’t want to give up on it. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
