I have a TV (Philips 32PFL6007T/12) and want to connect it to my PC as second monitor so i bought an HDMI cable but i get downscaled image. I’ve connected PC, chosen correct source and getting low resolution (in windows settings it says that i have 1920×1080 but it’s 1280×720 but when i’m changing resolution to 1280×720 for TV in Windows, elements of OS are resizing so it looks weird for me, like Windows thinks that image is really 1920×1080). I don’t have this problem when i’m connecting TV to PC with VGA cable but i can’t stick to this since my main monitor doesn’t have HDMI connector. Also i tested it with my laptop and found out that i experience same problem with HDMI cable and everything is ok with VGA.
Videoadapter: GTX650. Windows 8.1 (have no idea about laptop specs but there is also Windows 8.1 installed. Also i have laptop with Win7 and problem is the same if that matters)
