Problems with Excel 2016 scroll bars when selecting a vlookup array

I don’t know if anyone else has been experiencing this, but I do a TON of vlookups as part of my daily work. I’ve found, to my frustration, that in Excel 2016 when I’m trying to select the array range that the vertical scroll bar just doesn’t work. Since it works in all other instances I know it is not the scroll lock or other easy fix. It still does it when Freeze Panes are not on. It is making me crazy and I’m hoping someone else came across a solution for this. I should note, they are somewhat larger arrays – over 8K rows and 40 columns or so as part of the vlookup. Help!!
