Protected Storage Error

I have users who have an NT profile but have logged onto a 2000 system. When the user goes back onto an NT system They have a problem with a Protected Storage pop-up. I have read Microsoft’s solution to this problem (Base article Q249818) and their fix seems to work for awhile but will later resurface. This seems mostly to effect stored passwords in Outlook 2000. Does anyone know a why to make this problem stay away?
