I’m on a quest for a firewall for mobile laptops, and I’ve tried all of the free ones and several for pay ones and none of them work. Here is the situation, all are running W2k Pro and when they are docked, on the LAN network, they use IE 5.5 through a DSL to connect to the Internet; when they are undocked, remote, usually in a hotel room, they use Netzer.com through a modem to access the Internet. The problem is that so far all of the firewalls get confussed and lock out access to either or both IE and Netzero and in one instance, it sent the laptop in an infinite loop and could not shut down. Any suggestions from mobile users on what they are using? With the advent of T-1 lines in hotels I don’t relish sent my road warriors out with only AntiVirus protection.
