Question about ORACLE 8i Certification

Techs,
I have completed 3 out of 4 exams for ORACLE 7 now I want to take the exams for ORACLE 8i ( I know the date for ORACLE 7 has been finished). To my knowledge I know can can carry the 1st exam to ORACLE 8 exams which means I don’t have to takethe 1st exam for ORACLE 8 but I have the take all the 4 exams for ORACLE 8. My question is, is it the same for ORACLE 8i exams. I am planning to take the exams for ORACLE 8i ” can I skip the first exam and go the other exams directly?”

Pl., help me with the information. Also pl., let me know if I have any thing I have mentioned is wrong.
