Quick Launch icons no longer on Start menu

by maine pc . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

We have Windows XP Professional with three user accounts set up. On my account, I customized the Quick Launch toolbar by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office, then dragging the icons for Word and Excel to the Quick Launch toolbar. They show up on my Quick Launch, but they no longer show up under Start-All Programs-Microsoft Office on my account or the other two accounts. If the actual programs were moved to the Quick Launch, I?m afraid that if I delete them from Quick Launch, they will be deleted from the computer. Another computer I use has the icons both in the Quick Launch toolbar and in the Start menu.

Can I return the icons (programs?) to the Start-All Programs-Microsoft Office menu without uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office?

How do I add items to the Quick Launch without removing them from the Start menu?

Can each user?s Quick Launch toolbar be customized with the icons they want, and still keep them available for the other users?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
