RDP behind a linksys router

I have tried many solutions to connect to my terminal server at work using RDP. I can establish the VPN tunnel, but no Remote Desktop. I have opened up ports 3389:TCP and 4908 UDP. No luck! If I bypass the router it works fine. Any success out there?
