Real World Value of MCP???

What is the “real world value” of gaining your MCPship? For example right now I have been studying for my Win 2k Server MCP cert for tha last 2 months or so. But when I have approached my boss regarging any kind of monetar compensation, she informs me that her boss would’nt approve a raise for something like that unless it was major, like full fledged MCSE.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I know that it is ALWAYS good to expand your resume, just like your portfolio. And since MCPship is alot cheaper and easier than MCSE.
