rebooting after RH 7.2 install – problem

I have just installed RH 7.2 on a Presario 1200 NB and have Win98se up and working no problem.

I followed all the instructions as far as I can see, but what happens is that it goes through the boot procedure, everything says OK and then it stops at a prompt that says username@localhost.

I guess this is a prompt, but what do I do from here to get into Gnome or the other desktop option. I get no GUI at all as it is but I know it’s OK because I can do thinngs from the prompt.

I am actually a linux virgin and am keen to know more but it seems every install is different.

Help please. There are no Thai techs I know who know anything about linux.
