Reclaiming Outlook tasks

User: A, B, C, D.

If user A assign a task to D, before the Task complete, User A and D disappeared. Can User B or C, reclaiming the Task?

If I am right, User A and D can make changes to the task because A original owned it and D is the new owner, not sure about B and C can reclaim it, if A and D disappeared or no longer there.
